Using IVIG Therapy to Treat Immune Deficiency
IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin) infusions are used to treat those with weakened immune systems to fight germs and diseases that they might otherwise be at risk to. This treatment is done by delivering donated antibodies from plasma to the patient through an IV. If you get sick, have infections often or have an autoimmune disease, it might be a good idea to have your immunoglobulin checked with a simple blood test.
Do you have an immune deficiency? Has your doctor recommended an IVIG treatment and if so, did it help you?
