Muscular Dystrophy Stories: Austin’s Passion for Art

Austin Keihm is a 21-year-old from Hawaii who loves to create art. According to a report on Khon2.com, Keihm’s old high school teacher came up with the idea to use his artwork on T-shirts, and donate the proceeds to the family to help pay for Austin’s medical expenses.

Despite being diagnosed with muscular dystrophy (MD) as a young boy, Keihm hasn’t let his condition get in the way of his passion for art. Although Keihm now has trouble holding a pencil so can no longer draw the conventional way, he can create his wonderful designs using a computer, which Kris Sato then prints onto the T-shirts.
