Dr. Oluwatosin Adesoye is a practicing physician, award-winning rare disease educator and advocate with over 10 years of clinical experience. She is a health communications expert, medical reviewer, medical writer, medical researcher, and patient columnist. She brings a distinctive dual perspective, combining clinical expertise with nearly four decades of lived experience with a rare disease. Her expertise enables her to evaluate medical content for accuracy, scientific integrity, clarity, and alignment with current evidence, while her lived experience brings empathy and valuable insight into patient needs and health literacy. She founded Sicklelive Foundation and Sickle Cell Celebs, nonprofit organizations supporting people living with sickle cell disease globally.
