Waiting at the doctor’s office
What is the longest amount of time you’ve had to wait for at a doctor’s office?
Once I went to an appointment to see my orthopedist only to find out they had double booked his schedule. My mom and I ended up waiting three hours just for a check up. Another time I went to my pediatrician for a flu shot and the staff forgot about us. While we were waiting the receptionists began packing up to go home for the night.

These stories drive me crazy. I know I would have left the office long before three hours. I once even walked out on a disability doctor because she was running so late. Her staff were shocked when I said I was leaving. When they rescheduled she was available immediately. Somehow they think your time is not valuable.

Yes, and it’s so unprofessional to treat your patients like that. And they expect us to want to come back. This is exactly why I avoid the Emergency Room. Their mentality there is worst case served first, which I completely understand but when they see a girl in a wheelchair who looks fine, you tend to be the last person that is taken care of.
