Chuck Vrasich
Chuck Vrasich of Illinois lives with Becker muscular dystrophy and is an active member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association community, participating in events including MDA Muscle Walk. A longtime substitute teacher with McHenry County high schools, Chuck has also worked in community recreation, athletics, printing operations, and now part-time with the Lake and McHenry County Centers for Independent Living, supporting people living with disabilities. Passionate about gardening, Chuck enjoys tending to his raised vegetable, herb, and flower beds while advocating for greater independence and accessibility for people living with neuromuscular disease. He and his wife, Sherri, live in Illinois, where they raised five children and now enjoy time with their five grandchildren — including one grandchild featured assisting Chuck with the lift in the accompanying photos.
