Cyclists Ride From Seattle to New York for Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy

An epic coast-to-coast bike ride in aid of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) reached its conclusion last week. Beginning back in May, the bike ride started in Seattle, Washington and finished at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York, taking in 15 different states along the way and 54 days to complete.

According to News 12 Brooklyn, the participating cyclists were greeted by Nets radio personality, Chris Carrino, who lives with FSHD and whose foundation (The Chris Carrino FSHD Foundation) sponsored the bike ride.
Carrino set up his foundation in 2011 and in this time has seen more than 20 pharmaceutical companies begin research into better drugs and therapies for FSHD.
