Heart to Heart: Transplant Families Meet

Shared in September 2014, this heartwarming story from LOCAL 12 is all about the Baker family. Sadly, their son Logan died from muscular dystrophy at just 13 months old. However, Logan’s life was not in vain, and he was able to donate his organs.

On Valentine’s Day 2013, two-year-old Trinity Lazo was given the gift of a new heart, which was donated by Logan’s family. The family exchanged anonymous letters for a while after the transplant, but this is the first time that they actually got to meet each other in person.
