NFL Star Clay Matthews Supports Duchenne MD Fighters
by |
NFL star, Clay Matthews, has lent his support to raising awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (MD). The Green Bay Packers outside linebacker told reporters at the Players’ Tribune that he first became aware of the disease when he was asked to film a promotional video for the Care Duchenne foundation. He researched the condition and was astonished to find that up to 300,000 boys and men in the U.S. were affected by Duchenne MD–a disease that causes muscle wastage and leaves patients wheelchair-bound.
